Nike / Lira x Mesut
With the 2011 Women’s World Cup taking place in Germany, it was NIKE‘s chance to make Lira Bajramaj the face of the home team.
We launched our online campaign with two films telling the similar stories of two athletes: The well-known football star Mesut Özil and Lira.
The attention from this films we used for a shoe design contest that linked Facebook and NIKEiD and interactive postings. Lira‘s Facebook fan base increased by 1000% to well over 50.000 fans and she was named Germany’s Best Female Football Player of 2011.
